Frequently Asked Questions
How are the classes set up?

Courses are delivered through Blackboard Ultra, Nelson University’s online learning platform. Each course includes a syllabus, weekly modules, assignments, discussion boards, and exams. You’ll work independently but with course due dates.

Do I have to log on at a certain time for class? Am I required to attend a lecture at a specific time?

No. Nelson’s online courses are asynchronous, meaning you do not have to log in at a specific time. You can complete your work on your own schedule, as long as you meet the weekly deadlines.

How do I get my textbook?

Textbooks can be purchased through the Nelson University Bookstore. Some courses use digital textbooks, please check with the bookstore for more information.

When do classes start?

Classes follow the university’s academic calendar. You can find it HERE

What does Session A and Session B mean?

Each semester is divided into two 7-week sessions:

Session A: First half of the semester

Session B: Second half

You can take courses in either or both sessions.

What do I do if my email is not working correctly?
